Are you going “Out Out” (Micky Flanagan)

Over the months we have had it drilled into us, to keep a social distance, wash our hands (which frankly in my opinion we should be doing anyway), wear facemasks, stay indoors and keep away from our loved ones in case we infect them.



We have been isolated from our family, our friends, and our work colleagues.


As the weeks turned into months, topics of conversations became limited, online quizzes became the highlight of the week, we talked about the length of our hair and for some how bad their roots were and what we were having for tea!

So how are you feeling now you can go “Out Out”?

For me personally I’m not rushing to the pub or out to a restaurant. I’m going slow, I’ve felt incarcerated in my own home and I’ve got used to it. I have been looking back over the time now with positivity. It gave me time, and this has turned out to be one of the most important things to me. I have had time to think about what I want to do with my life, time to look in at myself and who I am and time to reconnect with people, some who I now realise are especially important to me.


So, although I am looking forward to slowly going “Out Out”, I am also going to enjoy staying in!
